| SPIDER VEIN TREATMENT
Spider veins are small
superficial blood vessels that are enlarged and appear red or blue.
Unsightly or
uncomfortable spider veins on the legs can be successfully treated with
sclerotherapy and with laser treatment.
Sclerotherapy is the
injection method, where a sclerosing solution is injected with a very
fine needle directly into the blood vessel. The solution irritates the
lining of the vessel, causing it to swell and stick together. The vessel
then turns into a scar tissue that is then absorbed by the body,
eventually becoming invisible or barely noticeable.
